-quotes-

These are some sentences that caught my attention while reading manga online. Some are meaningful, some are beautiful. I've read the mangas long ago & tagged those pages. Only now that I remember to share them. (This reminds me of someone who once told me that I always wish people belated birthday. Haha.. =P I think that's just my characteristic - late. Gonna improve it one way or another. For now, lets just get back to the main point. ^^) I think there are more... But I forgot to tag them. Haha..

☺ I want to do something different - be something different. Something that's not me --
☺ I want to blossom like a flower.
☺ I want to be different from the usual colors - to have a color of my own --
☺ Healing green... In the shadow of the brightly shining light, the forest rustles softly; the layers of foliage gleam. A gentle wind blows, caressing your hair.
☺ Yet, somewhere I'm sure that you're in this light.
☺ You are not alone. The trees are rustling. On the great plane you can follow your eternal spirit. You're embraced, and raised in the dreams of the great plane. -- Someday I know you will meet a bright future --
[the above are from Flower manga, with Higuri Yuu as both the author & artist]
☺ Slowly opening up. Whether it's a human heart, or relationships, or awaiting those sleepless nights, even though there may be times where we would drown, tomorrow will always be filled with promising light... I want to keep believing in that.
[the above are from Atsui Hibi manga, with Midorikawa Yuki as both the author & artist]
☺ I don't intend to give them up. My passion is not so frail as to be broken by kindness or politeness or insecurity.
☺ Meeting people, crossing paths with them, experiencing different emotions, learning, enriching the heart. Otherwise, you can't take good photos.
[the above are from Ojousama to Youkai Shitsuji manga, with Fujiwara Cocoa as both the author & artist]
☺ Death is not meant to be an escape from your harsh life. It's a place where everything you've done in your life comes back to haunt you.
[the above are from Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru manga, with Kaminaga Manabu as the author & Miyako Ritsu as the artist]
☺ Every time the sun rises, I think: Another day's begun. But I get depressed when I think that I'm still the same person as I ever was... that I'm just going to spend everyday without going or doing anything, and that the day's going to end like it started.
☺ There really isn't one good thing about me. But... even so, I'm trying my best to move forward...
[the above are from Asa ga Kuru Tabi manga, with Ikuemi Ryou as both the author & artist]
☺ Nights are peaceful... After the loud noises of the day, night is the sweet welcome of silence.
[the above are from Lost in London manhwa, with Lee Eun Young as both the author & artist]
☺ Instead of doubting and not believing, treating life with a 'Really?!' kind of mindset, is truly, a happier thing.
[the above are from Vampire Rose manga, with Tanemura Arina as both the author & artist]

All the mangas above are translated from the original version (Japanese & Korean). This makes me wonder how's the original sentences look like. Do they give me the same feeling as the translated one?

"Perfect"

"Perfect"
by Simple Plan
Hey dad look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to plan?
And do you think I'm wasting my time doing things I wanna do?
But it hurts when you disapprove all along

And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that
I'm alright
And you can't change me

'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

I try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spent with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymore

And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright

'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

Nothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard
Just to talk to you
But you don't understand

'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

I heard this from the radio station, and I like the chorus of this song~ ^^
oh..and please don't imply that this's what happening to me now k. 'cause there's no such thing. =)

Jauh di Sudut Hati

Title:         Jauh di Sudut Hati
Author:     Ezra Elfizza
Year:         2008 (1st Edition)
Publisher: Nylea Publishing

Romance. Revenge. Sweet lies of guys. Family love. These are what the novel is about.

Natasya
She got to know Adam when he saved her from being disturbed by a group of boys. She fall in love with Adam. But the sweet moment didn't stayed long. One day, she found herself nude in a room. She didn't remembered anything that happened on the night before. All she remembered is that she went for a dinner with Adam. Since that day, she had lost contact with Adam. It seemed that Adam was avoiding her. Feeling ashamed and despaired, she went to Kedah, with her brother's help, to work part time while waiting for her SPM result.

Adam
He had been eyeing on Natasha long before Natasha knew him. It's not because of love, but revenge though. He wanted to avenge for his beloved sister Anita who had been disowned by family. He blamed Natasha's brother, Hakimi, for stealing away his happiness, and also Anita's. Despite countless of advices from his best friend, Faizul, he still carried out his plan on Natasha. Later on, he found that he had fallen for Natasha; but it's too late as Natasha is nowhere to be found.

Anita
She loved Hakimi, and she still does. She got pregnant after being raped. Not hearing her out, her family disowned her. Feeling ashamed, she hid at Kedah even though Hakimi was willing to take care of her and the new life in her womb. Unfortunately, she had a miscarriage. Now she was looking after the orphan Fatin, the child of a couple who once took care of her when she was lost after being disowned.

Hakimi
Still loving Anita even though she's missing for years. After finding out about Natasya's incident, he helped her out in every way possible; giving her support and hiding the truth from their parents.

Hakim
Felt something for Natasya, asked her out and proposed to her despite knowing about what happened to her. A very good man, approved by Hakimi himself.

The story reached climax when all of the above characters met in Kedah unexpectedly and the misunderstandings were being resolved one by one. Hakimi wanted Anita back in his life; Adam confessed to Natasya. Hakim and Natasya wedding was cancelled when Natasya's parents found out that Hakim was actually their lost eldest son. The story ended with Hakimi and Anita's wedding and Adam willingness to wait for Natasya to finish her study in London.

All in all, I like this story. It's quite nice for me. ^^

Tips to Buy Thermos

When my dad's admitted into the hospital - SGH - I was asked to buy thermos for him. This is when I learnt of the tip from my mum, the tip to buy a thermos which can hold the heat better.

It's very simple! Just hold the opening or so-called the "mouth" of the thermos to your ear and listen to the sound produced. If you hear loud sound, then it's an OK. ;)

Another thing I learnt is: Don't buy plastic thermos! If you want to enjoy longer life, then buy those other than plastic. Unless you wanted to shorten your lifespan by taking in the melted resin (when the hot water will flow through the plastic opening). *I bought a plastic thermos actually TT

Kawan

Title:          Kawan
Author:      Ezee Rahmani
Year:         2007 (1st Edition)
Publisher: PTS Publications & Distributors Sdn. Bhd.

Despite the non-attractive cover, the story is quite interesting. I like it. =D The story revolves around a family of eight. The father worked as one of the officer in Wildlife and National Parks Department. The most interesting part of this story is about the children making friend with Atan, the crocodile saved by their father. They even bought ball for it to play. (& surprisingly, it played with the ball. weird. haha) When it's time for them to release Atan into the wild, both Atan & the children shed tears. (so touching..) The story ended with the family having the picnic near the river where Atan was released. It seemed that Atan made friends with the other crocodiles and successfully adapted to the wildlife. It still remembered the children when they called out to it from afar. What a unique bond between them. ^ ^

I wonder if this story is true or not.. hmmm..

Papa... (akhirnya kau tewas jua!)

Title:         Papa... (akhirnya kau tewas jua!)
Author:     Deana Yusof
Year:         2006 (1st Edition)
Publisher: Pekan Ilmu Publications Sdn. Bhd.

Basically, this story is about a father, Cikgu Jeffri, remarrying again while the first wife is in coma. Cikgu Jeffri desires for second child in the family; and thus for the sake of her love for her husband, Cikgu Intan Maliana is willing to bear another child for the family despite the fact that she is advised not to so due to her weak body. But when it's time for the babies to be born, unfortunately, they died in her womb and she's coma. During the time, the lonely Cikgu Jeffri becomes close with one of his student, Aisyah. Later on, they decided to marry. The 16-years-old-daughter, Intan Julia, who initially dislike the idea, finally agreed to it just for the sake of her father's happiness. The story ends when the Cikgu Maliana suddenly woke up one day and then died finding out about the second marriage. Cikgu Jeffri, who tried so hard to hide his sadness, finally cried.

I personally don't like this novel very much. I don't like polygamy. I don't like, also, the idea of the father remarrying again while the mother is in coma. It's like he's betraying the marriage. *dislike! (Man changes easily huh.)

I dislike the idea of the father asking for second child despite knowing the fact that the wife's body is weak for second pregnancy. It's kind of selfish. *pout

I dislike also when the father prevents the daughter's relationship with a guy just because he's orphan. Well, it's not the guy's fault he's orphan. Nobody wanted to be born orphan. huh! What a irrational father. He asked for the daughter to understand him, and yet he didn't try to understand others. (oh.. for your information, their relationship is genuine. Aside from holding hands, they still keep the teaching of Islam in mind.)

I like it when Mak Cik Noraini, the relative, admonishes both the father and the daughter not to be too close with each other. Well, the devil is everywhere and it never care who is its victim.

I just look through a review of this book on web. I'm surprised this novel is chosen as the novel for Form 4 pupils. Well, I fell very lucky not having this novel as my literature novel back in high school. *fewh~

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVELYN!!

Yesterday's my best friend's birthday. ^^ *miss her~ miss all my close friends as well~

I've just read her blog post. I'm glad that she enjoyed her birthday! ^^ *and she becomes prettier too.. hee... ^^

How we meet? - This is a question which I don't even have the answer myself. All I know is that we become close friends since kindergarten. Ever since then, we've always been together till the end of our high school. We even studied together in the same class all those years. *miss those moments~ But as life goes on, our paths deviate too. Now we ventured into different fields. But wherever our paths lead to, we'll always be BFF. ^_^

The Third Time

Well, this is my third time creating a blog. And I hope this time it goes well. Really do hope so.. ^_^

I am really bored at hostel now.. hurmm... I didn't know what to do... I wanted to go visiting my friends (Janice, YitFang, ConNee, LiWeng, Sharon ...) as well as my cousins in Penang, but I'm afraid of disturbing them. Well, some are on holiday; some are in the middle of practical; some are working; and some are back in hometown (this i referred to my dearest friend of course *wink). I don't wanna to disturb some's quality time with their beloved family as well (since some may not work in their hometown later) *sigh.. what to do (o_0)"

Actually, dad offered to buy me my flight ticket back the other day. But I refused. Even if it sounds like he's going to pay for my flight this time, but actually, all the money I have now is his. I don't even have a job yet. So all this while I'm actually using his money. Haha.. That's why I strongly opposed of going back for just two weeks. But when I know that LiWeng is back in hometown for holiday now, I'm kind of regretting it.. huu... I thought she's still in KL, volunteering at SPCA. I even thought of going to KL to celebrate her birthday since my trip to genting was cancelled. Well, I guess there's next time for sure. ^^

That's all for now.. It's dinner time. Thanks for reading. ^_^
